Installing the Clock

Postby Michaelo » Tue Oct 04, 2005 7:11 pm

As there seems to be some confusion re clocks the following procedure will solve all browser problems.

1: Place clock in templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY/images
2: Edit the clock.tpl to reflect the path to the cloak as per this example...

LINE 4 (SIZE OF CLOCK) id="clock" width="120" height="120">
LINE 5 (PATH TO MOVIE/CLOCK) <param name="movie" value="templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY/images/CLOCK_NAME.swf">
LINE 6 (CLOCK BACKGROUND) <param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
LINE 12 (SIZE OF CLOCK AGAIN) width="120" height="120"
LINE 13 (PATH TO MOVIE/CLOCK AGAIN) name="clock" src="templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY/images/CLOCK_NAME.swf">
LINE 14 (CLOCK BACKGROUND AGAIN) bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high"

The paths are explicit to avoid confusion in different browsers.
The other line remain as they are.

If you use only one clock for all your templates you can place it in root/images/ and change the path above to reflect this.
